The following is a series of photographs of patients treated with Roaccutane. Please click on the photographs to enlarge.
Case 1 24 year old female with 5 year history of acne not responding to antibiotics and hormonal treatment. Treated with Roaccutane 40mg daily for 6 months (weight 52kg). Second picture shows response in 6 months. Third picture shows her two years later. Her splendid wedding picture was taken five years after her treatment had ended.
Case 2 14 year old male. 55kg. Treated with Roaccutane 60mg daily for 6 months, prednisone for 5 days, starting with 30mg and reducing by 5mg each day, and injections of cortisone on the sides of the nose and behind the ear.
Case 3 19 year old male. 60kg. Severe nodulocystic acne. No response to numerous antibiotics previously. Treatment: Roaccutane 60mg daily for 4 months. The slight residual scarring was corrected with dermabrasion.
Case 4 18 year old male. 55kg Severe nodulocystic acne with features of Pyoderma Faciale. Treated with Roaccutane 40mg daily for 4 months.
Case 5 18 year old male. 65 kg. Severe nodulocystic acne. Required Roaccutane 60mg daily for 4 months and Prednisone 10mg daily for 1 month.
Case 6 33 year old male. 65kg. On antibiotics for 3 years before taking Roaccutane 60mg daily for 4 months.
